Status
Hippo Vehicle Solutions Limited offers a wide range of used vehicles to purchase or lease as well as the ability to offer our client’s vehicle related insurance products onsite and the offering of vehicle funding should they require it. Our services include Vehicle knowledge and related products and services when helping you choose a suitable vehicle for your needs advising you on your insurance options, arranging your insurance cover with insurers and assisting you with any subsequent event or alteration to the vehicle sale, insurance and vehicle funding that you have placed with ourselves.

Regulation
Hippo Vehicle Solutions Limited undertakes to comply with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for the selling of general Insurance and vehicle funding advice. Our FCA Firm reference number is 658076. We also act as an introducer appointed representative of Chestnut Insurance Services who regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority FRN: 498639, the reason we do this is to ensure that all our customers have the option to use their services to search the market place for competitive insurance surrounding their purchase and or a free full insurance review. We are also separately registered under the Data Protection Act number Z1246427.

Charges/ CANCELLATION FEES
We reserve the right to make charges in addition to any insurance premiums, for the: arranging, amending, renewing and cancellations of any insurance. We also reserve the right to hold a vehicle deposit should you not proceed with the purchase of the vehicle for any reason out of our control. Cancellation fees are applicable at x3 times the monthly premium plus VAT and shall be enforced upon a signed order form, signed by the customer.

Disclosure of Information
It is your responsibility to ensure that all information, statements or answers made by you to us or your insurers, are correct and complete as any failure to disclose facts material to ourselves, the finance/leasing company or the insurance provider direct may result in inaccuracies in your answers which may invalidate your insurance cover in part or in whole.

Facts material to the insurance are matters or information which might influence your insurer as to the acceptability or otherwise of your proposal or renewal and must be disclosed at the first opportunity and during the term of the insurance contract. These facts include, but are not limited to, previous and outstanding claims, changes to your address, occupation or use of the vehicle, prosecutions whether involving a motor vehicle or not and medical conditions that are notifiable to the DVLA. If you are in doubt as to whether certain information is material then you should disclose it, this is also relevant when disclosing information for the proposal of finance or lease on your purchase.

Claims
When you first become a customer, we will give you details of how you can make a claim and tell you what your responsibilities are in relation to making claims. All claims handling information is detailed on your policy documentation given to you by us and the procedure should be followed to ensure consistency.

If you contact our offices direct to make a claim on an insurance product we will guide you on whom to contact in this instance to ensure your claim is logged with the provider and actioned accordingly however we will not handle your claim internally from start to finish. Please refer to your policy documentation from the provider re your right to make a claim including contact details.

Confidentiality
Unless required by law, public interest, our regulator the Financial Conduct Authority, or with your prior written consent, all information you supply will be kept confidential by Hippo Vehicle Solutions Limited, its member companies and the parties involved in the normal course of arranging and administering your insurance or vehicle finance/Lease.

Right of Inspection
We keep records of all business transactions for at least six years. You may inspect details at any time but we treat all client records as confidential, so we reserve the right to give you copies of your particular record, rather than allow access to full files containing records, about other clients.

Data Protection
Under the Data Protection Act 1998 you have the right to see personal information about you that we hold in our records. Should you wish to exercise this right a small administration fee may be incurred. Policy Terms
You must carefully read all insurance documents and vehicle finance/Leasing documents that we send you, to ensure they meet with your requirements. If you are in doubt over any of the policy terms or conditions please contact us immediately for clarification.

Return Premium
All returns of premium following cancellation or adjustment will be details within your policy documentation, please read this carefully before cancellation of a policy but upon which a sales advisor will make you aware of any cancellation fees or return of premiums that relate to your policy or product purchase. Note: for the avoidance of doubt insurance premium tax and fees are non-refundable.

Amendments & Client Money
Should an amendment to the contract be made, we reserve the right to apply an administration charge to cover the cost of the extra work involved in such amendments. See Key Facts Document for further details. In respect of asset protection insurance transactions, we hold a risk transfer agreement with our selected insurer for premiums claims and premium refunds. On this basis, we are not required to have permission from the regulator to hold client money.

Fraud prevention and detection
To prevent and detect fraud we may at any time:
Share information with other organisations and public bodies including the police although we only do so in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Check and/or file details with fraud prevention agencies and databases and if we are given false or inaccurate information and we identify fraud, we will record this. We and other organisations may also use and search these agencies and databases from the UK and other countries to:
• Help make decisions about the provision and administration of insurance, credit and related services for you and members of your household;
• Trace debtors or beneficiaries, recover debt, prevent fraud, and to manage your accounts or insurance policies; or
• Check your identity to prevent money laundering, unless you provide us with other satisfactory proof of identity.
Law enforcement agencies may access and use this information. We and other organisations may also access and use this information to prevent fraud and money laundering, for example when:
• Checking applications for, and managing credit and other facilities and recovering debt;
• Checking insurance proposals and claims.

We, and other organisations that may access and use information recorded by fraud prevention agencies, may do so from other countries.

Affordabilty & Credit Searches
By signing this Term of business you are also confirming that the purchase you are about to make is affordable to you within your disposable income and you do not foresee any change in your circumstances to which you will be unable to make any repayments under a finance agreement.
Please be aware that before a decision can be make on the finance of a vehicle we will undertake a full credit search upon a proposal for finance.

We offer a range of different funding packages, your sales advisor will discuss these with you and ensure they find the one that best meets your circumstances and budget. They will provide you with the full details of the finance package on offer (this is known as pre contract information), so that you can make an informed decision on your finance choice before you sign the credit agreement. Hippo vehicle Solutions use a panel of different finance providers to ensure they find the most competitive and suitable deal for your current circumstances. An initial credit search will be made to ascertain the most suitable finance provider, however if after 2 credit searches have been made and there is not an approval in place, your sales advisor will contact you to gain your consent to try and secure an  approval with an alternative lender.
